Squirrelmail error

I just set up my QMR running on Debian on sunday and everything was working perfect till yesterday when I got the following error:

Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to localhost:143 in /var/www/webmail/functions/imap_general.php on line 445

Anybody have any ideas?
