OpenBSD 3.5 patch branch

I have tried to install qmailrocks on OpenBSD 3.5 patch branch. I used FreeBSD tutorial and somewhat modified scripts. It works just fine apart from one part. Namely, vqadmin and qmailadmin work ONLY if I mount /var suid. In OpenBSD /var is mounted as nosuid. According to many, it is a security issue to mount /var suid.

Is there a way to overcome this?
