Hi,
I have problem from 2-3 days with my clamdscan program. It works and scans an empty directory and the process takes 90-95% from the CPU. I update my clamd every time when there is a new version. but there were no new updates the last 30 days.

I tried to restart qmail and spamd, but there were no effect. Also the clamdscan processes become more and more and the spare the CPU load between them.

The installation is on Slackware linux 11.0 and the clamdscan program is linked to clamscan as discribed in the qmailrocks site.

I'll appreciate any ideas.

here is the output from ps aux:

qscand 25824 92.2 14.5 58544 55984 ? R 10:00 42:56 /usr/bin/clamdscan --no-summary /var/spool/qmailscan/tmp/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

the CPU load in red

okay, there is some new information.

if qmail-scanner deletes the temporary folder /var/spool/qmailscan/tmp/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx before the clamdscan program finishes the folder scan, the clamdscan program enters in some kind of endless cycle:(

i'm not sure if this is exactly what happening.
