Not sure if this should go here - but I cant seem to find the answer I'm looking for anywhere else so I might as well give it a try.
I have a gentoo production setup serving quite alot of sites and email accounts as well. After manually restarting my authdaemond I was horrified to discover that it didn't start again. After doing some research I saw that the authdaemond.plain was missing and thus the daemon couldn't start.
So now the big question is - how in the world did my authdaemond work in the first place if this important part was missing ?
And secondly - how do I get it back - I've tried everything in the book...
