Hi,
I've been using qmail to receive mails to my own server without any problems until now. Now, many mails which were being sent to my mail server were not being received.
I added recordio to my smtp "run" file and from the trace of the smtp log i've found that qmail-smtp is terminating abruptly ONLY if tls is used by th sender. All smtp transactions not using tls are accepted and are delivered to the system.
I've attached files with this post:
1.> qmail_smtp_trace.txt - the trace from the qmail-smtp log when smtp connections use tls and when the connection does not use tls. the user jtb@mktbuzz.fo is registered with the server and mktbuzz.info is in the rcphosts ad locals file too.
2.> smtp_transaction.txt - the command line transaction that i made with the server.
3.> qmail_smtp_run_file.txt - my qmail-smtpd run script (i also raised the softlimit value to 90000000 incase we were short of memory - it did not work for smaller values either).
Please could you help me with this problem? Anyone with any pointers or solutions to this problem please do reply and oblige.
