Hi there,

I'm having a lot of problems with the Qmail-Scanner under Slackware 9.1. Without it, my Qmail installation works like a charm, but once I edit the run-file to use the Qmail-Scanner, my mail seems to be sent, but it's never processed nor received. I also can't receive any mail once I use Qmail-Scanner. Where should I look first to detect the problem?

First, you should check your documentation.

You MUST, I repeat MUST have the qmail-scanner-queue wrapper put in place.

Then, you run the suid qscand command - (it's in the docs) with the -g option.

also run it with the -z option.

Check the logs as well.

remove the taint option from the qmail-scanner-queue.pl file, and make sure you use the right QMAIL-QUEUE line in /var/qmail/supervise/qmail-smtpd/run
