courierpassd not work...

Dear all,

I try to install QMR Slackware it's work corectly until i setup courierpassd and set in inetd, but it would not run, i can't login to port 106 (as it said to try to telnet localhost 106); i had message :

Telnet localhost 106

Trying 127.0.0.1....
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'
Connection closed by foreign host.

please help what it's wrong with that..???

In general, that means that courierpassd is actually functioning. HOWEVER, there's nothing for it to connect to beyond the port itself.

Go back and double-check your courier-imap installation.

It' work now i just make wrong script into inetd
it must root /usr/local/....
but i wrote root/usr/local/..

my qmailadmin stil not work correctly is still same with my last forum
and i put my domain in my /etc/host likethis :
127.0.0.1 localhost
202.169.225.192 server3.office.mine.nu server3
my resolv.conf
search office.mine.nu
202.169.224.11

You just about HAD to have missed something.

Go back through the installation (even if you have to reinstall as you go along)

If the instructions are followed to the letter, on a standard distribution install, you should end up with a fully functional mail server.

Most of the 'it doesn't work!' messages are being caused by failure to read/type properly.
