I currently have two stock QMR installations running side by side; hardware is exactly the same. One is running on Sarge, the other is running on Woody (3.0r2). As near as I can tell, all configuration files are exactly the same.
Everything works fine in Sarge; messages are processed for spam in 3-5 seconds (according to /var/spool/qmailscan/qmail-queue.log). However, on the Woody machine -- which we'd prefer to use when this becomes a production server -- spamassassin scanning takes something like three or four times as long -- 20-25 seconds.
Is there something obvious that I'm missing here? I can't think of what it is. I would sincerely appreciate any guidance you can provide, as this is the third time I've set it up on Woody with the same result.
(Note: I haven't yet tried doing a Sarge installation on the machine currently running Woody; that's my next step, to try to eliminate a mysterious hardware issue. However, the most likely scenario seems to be that this is some sort of Woody-related issue.)
