Missing link - disappearing messages

Hi Peoples

I have qmr installed and it was working until i went probing for problems to why it wasn't able to recieve mail from the outside (then realising my isp blocked port 25 and then deciding to use a relay service to another port). However, now that I am able to be seen from the outside, something goes wrong.

I am not able to see any of the emails that arrive. I look in qmail-send/current and it shows the emails being recieved and success stuff, however they fail to show up in squirrelmail inboxes and when i look from telnet with pop3d.

heres the log saying that its recieving mail...its just i dont see the messages that I have apparently got. if you have anything for me to check, or suggestions please tell, im sort of loosing hair over this one

my domain - redness.ath.cx

also, i used to be able to send messages locally ie to users in my domain, but that has stopped

Have you looked at all of your email accounts? What about postmaster@redness.ath.cx? qmail won't lose the mails, so where did they go? Look in /home/vpopmail/domains/redness.ath.cx/*. Maybe you setup a catchall or have everything being caught by an alias (/var/qmail/alias)?

""'it was working until i went probing for problems""" Redness, that doesn't make any sense. :) Obviously, there were issues before you were tweaking ports.

I recommend wiping everything out (unless these 'lost' emails are really important), and going back through the process, making sure you didn't miss even a single keystroke. Trust me. You'll be wiser for it.
