I am currently running both a Qmailrocks server on Fedora Core 3 and a Exchange 120day trial on Windows 2003. I need to convince the other people in our small partnership to use the Qmailrocks. Can anybody help me out with some good reasons to go with the Qmailrocks route. I like the stability and safety of Linux and the Qmailrocks installation is great but others like the collaboration and PDA sync.

Thanks

FC3, qmail, spamassassin and clamav are free.

Win2k3, Exchange 2k3 are not free.
OEM anti-spam and anti-virus solutions are NOT cheap.

Been there, done that!!!

I ended up compromising as the powers-that-be insisted on the collaboration of the Exchange solution. So, we have the Exchange box as the back end and have a QMR box relaying all incoming mail for our half dozen domains and 100+ users.

My qmail server runs... and runs.. and runs... until, well until I decide to reboot (aka never).

I've actually told my boss to downgrade the machine to free up resources... 2ghz machine sits at ~1% CPU
